Rose Dream Meaning

Psychological Meaning: A red rose has been the traditional symbol of love since Roman times. The theme of your dream is likely to be about love and the way you feel about your past and present emotional relationships. Freud considered the red rose to symbolise the female genitalia, or the blood of menstruation. In addition, the way a flower unfolds and its symmetry are reminiscent of a mandala (see Mandala) which is a symbol of the wholeness of the self.

Mystical Meaning: The Romans believed that the rose could protect the dead from evil spirits and so decorated their tombs with the flower. As a dream symbol, it therefore meant safety and protection. Most oracles believe roses to be a favourable omen.
