Knot Dream Meaning
 Psychological Meaning:
A knot may represent a problem that you’re trying to untangle. (a ‘knotty’ problem) It can also represent the union of two people or the union of the male and female aspects of the psyche. (i.e. ‘tying the knot’- a ritual that was an actual occurrence during Babylonian times when threads from the couple’s garments would be tied together).
If you dream about the hangman of the gallows this may be a symbol for your feelings of being trapped in an inevitable situation. You feel emotionally trapped. You are hung up over a problem that you find hard to let go of.
 Mystical Meaning:
Superstition has associated knots with problems. For example, at weddings the bridegroom should wear one of his shoes unlaced to foil witches from ‘untying’ his bride’s virginity. Moreover, in Scotland UK it is believed that no body should be put into a coffin with knots on any of its clothing or the spirit will never rest in peace.
In dream superstitions, to dream knots means that you will meet with much to cause you anxiety however a hangman's noose or the Gallows is considered to be a fortunate dream omen in some cultures.
